Back in 2005, two friends and I began to explore the paranormal. The three of us worked together and would talk and discuss all the strange happenings we had seen on TV or heard through stories by friends or relatives. The more we chatted the more curious we became.
I will admit the show Ghost Hunters made us realize average people, using common sense and willing to explore, be patience and to be open to adventure could research the paranormal.
The most specialized tool needed is one’s own senses, along with basic knowledge to achieve and excel in the research. We started out at cemeteries, our own homes, public parks with history of tragic events and what we came across only peaked our curiosity more.
In 2006, we became the Great River Investigative Paranormal Society.

Hello! I've had paranormal experiences starting at a young age. This was something that was always hard to talk about. These experiences has fueled my curiosity for the unknown and the unexplained.
I have been fortunate enough to investigate several wonderful locations, including Alcatraz, Eastern State Penn, and Villisica.
I was lucky to find GRIPS. They have welcomed me into their team and we have done some exciting investigations. "I was going to say you look like you've seen a ghost, but you'd probably be stoked!" was once said about me.

I joined the GRIPS team in 2016. I have always had a strong interest in the paranormal and what happens
after we move on from this existence. I have had several experiences throughout my life and joining a paranormal group to investigate has always been on my bucket list.
I truly believe that there is something more to us than the body we live in and want to learn all I can on what happens beyond this realm.
My specialty with GRIPS is listening to and debunking EVPS, Electronic Voice Phenomenon. I am open minded and enjoy listening to other peoples opinions on the paranormal and the unknown.

I have been an investigator with GRIPS since 2014, shortly after the passing of my father I joined the group in search of answers.
There has always been interest in the paranormal, having had a spirit watch over me when I was young, I have since had several experiences that have lead me down the path to spiritual growth.

For
me, joining GRIPS is a way to draw on the experiences of others to further my
own knowledge.
I’ve always thought and felt there are more things to this world
than can be easily explained. There have
been experiences that I’ve had in the past, that have broadened my mind as far
as what is real and not real.
While investigating in my own house, I recorded
an EVP of most likely my husband’s grandmother who passed in the house.
As I
continue to search for answers there, I look forward to new experiences.

I joined GRIPS with my daughter in 2018 after attending two investigations and the Linwood Cemetery Walk.
My interest in the paranormal stems from watching The X-Files while young.
In our lives there have been certain things that have occurred that couldn't be easily explained, opening our eyes to the possibility of paranormal activities.

Investigator/Technician
I have always had an interest in getting answers. What happens to our consciousness after this world may be the second most illusive answer the first being why are we here.
Learning “whatwill happen” may help answer the “why are we here.” I’ll approach everything with an open mind, ready to accept newconcepts and ideas, and also maintain a deep rooted skepticism to add balance.
My best day investigating, is the day when no logical explanation(debunking) is possible and all that we are left with is wonder, awe, and satisfaction.
